Srebrenica, 15 Years Later (Bosnia)

Fifteen years after the most ferocious massacre in Europe since the Second World War, Bosnia is still paying the price of it’s past. The I.C.M.P. (International Commission on Missing Persons) is still finding corpses and remains from the mass graves in Srebrenica so that they can be identified and categorized. Official sources estimate that there are approximately1,800 victims, though some associations dealing with missing persons and the victim’s families state that there are another 10,000. Thanks to DNA testing, 3,215 victims have been identified whilst around 4,000 are only exhumed, nameless bodies. The I.C.M.P. was founded to uphold the Dayton Peace Agreement, which marked the end of the conflict in former Yugoslavia.
